Monoprint No. 21.10
These Monoprints are made out of testprints; a one-of-a-kind product of the screen printing process. During the printing proces many test prints are made, either as color tests, or to clean the screen. After a while, the random sampling of shapes on these test prints turn into a great starting point for new unique artprints.
Everytime a new poster, book or artprint is being printed, i have a selection of these testprints close to me so i can compose new shapes into them and decide if a new monoprint is ready or needs an other round of printing.
Sometimes it takes several years for a monoprint to be ready. There may likely be bent corners, scratches, smears and cracks, but this is what gives the monoprint it's character.
All monoprints are signed and numbered in an edition of 1.
